Step 1
Select A Banner:
         


Copy the HTML code above and insert it into your webpage.
Step 2
Download The Banner:
       Right-click on the image you have selected and go to "Save Image As..." or "Save Link Location". Be sure NOT to change the filename. (If for some reason you do need to change the filename be sure to change the IMG SRC tag in the HTML above.)

Step 3
Test the Code:
       Open the HTML page in your web browser, check to see if the image shows up and that the link works. If it does, continue to the next step.

If the code doesn't work start troubleshooting...
  • Did you change the filename of the image file? If you did, does the IMG SRC tag refer the new filename? If not, change it now.
  • Is the webpage in the same directory as the banner image file? If they're not, you'll have to specify a path as well as a filename. If you've done this make sure the path is correct.
  • It doesn't matter if you use absolute or relative path names as long as they work.
  • Have you left another tag open... that is, did you forget to include the > sign earlier in your webpage source code? If you have the browser will most likely ignore most of what will follow. Try and find it and correct it.
